How to get here
Located in the South East of Ireland, Kilkenny is easily accessible, no matter how you arrive. Whether you’re flying, sailing, or driving, the city is rarely more than a couple of hours away.
For those attending the Kilkenny Roots Festival, flying into one of these airports will get you to Kilkenny in under 2 hours. Dublin Airport is just 90 minutes away via the M9, while Cork Airport and Shannon Airport are both less than 2 hours away via the M8. Waterford Airport is even closer, with just under an hour’s drive via the M9.
