Since 2009 TV Jones & The Tomahawks have been whipping up some rock and roll frenzies throughout the Roots festivals, starting off as a high octane rockabilly unit, over the years they have incorporated elements of punk, honky tonk, surf and mariachi into their mix and have released two CDs of original material that have established their own distinct sound.
But this year they up the ante even more with the addition of Los Gatos, a brass-wielding group of like-minded genre-hopping individuals to bring you the biggest and most brazen Tomahawk sound yet. Expect all new versions of some of their best-loved numbers, plus a whole lot more in the way of surprises, with a whole host of instruments and extra hands at their disposal. This one-off event is not to be missed and promises to end the festival with not so much a bang as an apocalyptic boom!
