Odetta is the Queen of American Folk Music and an acknowledged influence on artists as diverse as Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Joan Armatrading and Janis Joplin. In the 60s, Odetta was a major voice in America’s Civil Rights Movement, marching with Dr. King in Selmaand performing for John F. Kennedy. She is a  legendary singer and performer, she pays tribute to the great blues women of the 30s and 40s on her latest disc Blues Everywhere I Go for which she has been nominated for a Grammy this year.
